Roman Brozowski
Roman Brozowski has nearly five decades of experience in academia and community economic development. He brings a strong foundation in governance, strategic planning, and organizational leadership, shaped by his career as a faculty member and administrator at Nipissing University. Through his 29 years with Nipissing East Community Opportunities (NECO), including terms as Chair of the Board, Human Resources Committee, and Investment Review Committee, Roman has developed extensive expertise in economic development and funding processes that support innovation and business growth. He is passionate about giving back to his community and supporting initiatives that strengthen meaningful partnerships. As an active member of the board, he hopes to stay connected with innovation happening in the North and help accelerate business growth in any way possible.
Carly Byers
Carly Byers has over fifteen years of experience in academia. She brings a strong foundation in governance, strategic planning, and organizational leadership, shaped by her commitment to excellence in education and institutional development. Through her professional experience and service on local boards, Carly has developed extensive expertise in supporting and preparing funding applications that secure resources for innovation and program growth. She is passionate about giving back to her community and supporting initiatives that strengthen meaningful partnerships. Known for her collaborative approach and strategic mindset, Carly contributes valuable insight into driving effective, sustainable business operations.
Sandra Efu
Dr. Sandra Efu is the President and CEO of Canadore College. She brings a clear, well-aligned vision shaped by a distinguished record of post-secondary leadership and a strong commitment to student success, community prosperity, partnerships, and applied learning and research. She has developed extensive expertise in securing funding and building strategic partnerships that support innovation and program growth, particularly for Indigenous learners and organizations. Her connection to Canadore's research department and ICAMP, along with the college's role in developing the next generation of skilled talent, makes her insight especially valuable to IION and its clients. Known for her strategic mindset and collaborative approach, Dr. Efu contributes meaningful perspective on strengthening economic development partnerships across our region.
Vincent Galea
Vincent Galea is the Economic Development Officer with Nipissing First Nation and has more than eight years of experience supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community-based economic development initiatives. Before joining Nipissing First Nation, he spent seven years with The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound, where he advised entrepreneurs on business planning, financial forecasting, market research, funding applications, and growth strategies. In his current role, Vincent supports business development, funding opportunities, strategic partnerships, business licensing, and projects that advance Nipissing First Nation’s long-term economic priorities. As an IION Board Member, Vincent contributes practical experience in entrepreneurship, program delivery, community engagement, and partnership development to help strengthen innovation and sustainable economic growth across Northern Ontario.
Andrea Hudson
Andrea is a tax professional with deep expertise in servicing individuals, trusts, and privately held businesses, with a focus on manufacturing, professional, and investment corporations. She brings a strong foundation in estate and post-mortem planning, corporate reorganization, succession planning, and sale transactions, shaped by her commitment to preserving wealth, optimizing operational efficiency, and guiding business owners through smooth leadership transitions. Through her professional experience, Andrea has developed extensive expertise in navigating complex financial and tax matters that support sound organizational decision-making. She is passionate about giving back to her community and applies this expertise directly to IION, providing valuable guidance and direction on IIONs overall financial position. Andrea contributes essential insight into maintaining strong financial governance and long-term organizational stability.
